8. Personal Narrative Draft: (insert witty/creative title)

Alrighty! so I have in mind to do a story about the time that  my mother was right and I was wrong. I know, I know, that basically never happens. Also it's not overused at all... (heavy sarcasm) there's the classic take-your-coat and then you don't and it ends up raining and "wow!" mom was right... again. But this one has a little more fun than that and I think I can add an element of doing what I know to be right and not being swayed by other people opinions so easily. I would have to show that I was with my best friend Dane. His important character traits would have to be Dane:

  • super funny
  • always pushing the limits
  • mischievous
  • very persuasive
My mom:
  • nazi with the rules
  • always right and she knows it (she told me not to drink too much hot chocolate)
Myself:
  • easily swayed
  • want to be obedient
  • but get carried away in the moment
the story goes a little something like this: my mom tells to go to bed. It's already late, she says we're going to want to be awake for classes tomorrow. thunderstorm comes in and Dane and I are giddy and we want to get a better look/feel/ability to hear sooooo yes, we climb on top of the roof. everything seems to go according to his plan (he persuaded me to do it) and the next day we're off, great day, I have to drive back for work and I fall asleep at the wheel. way scary. the next event that is going to tie it all together though I am not so sure about what exactly that will be. I really did learn from this event. It's just a matter of how am I going to show it.
